Beautiful, Tropical South Padre Island, Texas, is connected to the mainland by the longest bridge in Texas, the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway.  It is approximately as far south as Miami, Florida, and just a few miles south of the Island is the Rio Grande River and the Mexican border.  Visitors have discovered this tropical paradise and come here to enjoy the beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Mexico.  Fishermen relax in their boats on the Laguna Madre Bay and catch fish of many types.
